19th & Whimsy S/S 2017 Collection

At the beginning of February, I had the wonderful experience to work with Lauren and Anna on 19th & Whimsy's Spring/Summer 2017 Collection. If you love neutrals versatile clothes, you will absolute LOVE this collection. Each piece can be worn with ease from day to night, and some pieces are so soft you will not want to take them off. Basically, you'll want every single piece. Don't worry I do too!

Go check out the entire collection.

Waimanalo Beach, Hawaii Couple Session // Ana + Eddie

Young in love and on vacation! Doesn't that sound like a dream? I met Ana and Eddie at Waimanalo Beach Park while they were vacationing on Oahu! Talk about just the cutest and sweetest couple around. I also learned that they had not had formal couple photos since they were married, and boy did that make me feel honored.

We had a blast wandering around the beach park and ended the night with the beach all to ourselves. Can't get any better than that.

Nimitz Beach Love // Monique + Jesus

The love just keeps on coming! Monique and Jesus are literally too cool and too sweet for me to handle. I love when you can just tell how strong and wonderful the connection is between two people just by being around them. These two are definitely one of those couples!

Hawaii Styled Bride Look I

Well damn. I am honestly having a hard time finding words to describe how I feel about these photos. Nervous. Excited. Elated even!

When we were in the planning stages, I wanted to do something slightly different for these bridals. I wanted to create something that celebrated the grace and elegance of a bride while embracing the serene view of the mountains behind us.

Ready or not, here's the first look of our Hawaii styled bridal shoot!

Major love to these folks!

#MovingMondays // The Unknown

I feel like I say this a lot, but I am so grateful for friends! I originally asked Keith to show me this location for another shoot I was planning to have. As the day approached, I asked Keith if he was interested in having a small shoot with some color powder I had leftover from the Color Run. Don't ask me why I decided to have a shoot with color powder all of a sudden (I had that powder for a while), but I figured Keith would be pretty open to it and he was! I also asked my dear friend Suzanna if she would help us, and she was more than happy to join us (to throw color at Keith haha).

While we were driving to the location out at Mokuleia, we had a pretty interesting conversation that I'm sure almost every "twenty-something" has at some point: life after college. Things like moving out, finding a job (or even a career), and the uncertainty of every step in life to get to those points.

We agreed that we were so fortunate to have family that doesn't pressure us to move out and throw us out into adulthood, but at the same time, we want to throw ourselves into it. We want to get out and make a name for ourselves, wherever that may be. But (and there's always a but) we really don't know how to get to that point. There always seems to be something in the way: expenses, obligations, or whatever else you can think of.

As I started editing these photos, I realized that our conversation about the unknown really stuck with me. As suppressing as the journey in life can feel, we also forget about the potential the future holds. That's what I see in these photos, the colors represent the different opportunities we have in life and all the potential they hold.

Just a gentle reminder to myself and anyone else out there who worries about the future. The potential is always out there.
