Lauren and Jeff’s dreamy Oahu anniversary session took place in Honolulu at the YWCA and on the downtown waterfront. So many parts of this session truly felt magical and it was so much fun to be a part of. When Lauren inquired, she mentioned how much she wanted beautiful photos for their anniversary because their wedding photos were less than desired (a feeling I never want anyone to have!)

This gorgeous sunset photo session was proof that you can take photos for any occasion.

Cafe Julia YWCA in Honolulu was a lovely place to start this dreamy anniversary photo session. The stately architecture of the YWCA was a perfect backdrop for photos, and the pillars and beautiful arching door gave it an extra element of high class. Walking around Honolulu enjoying the natural beauty of the island is always a good time. 

Later on in the day when the sun was setting, we made our way to the waterfront in downtown Honolulu. Downtown Honolulu is a beautiful place at any time, but it always seems especially beautiful with the sun setting over it. Watching the sun go down over the ocean is one of my favorite times to capture a moment with my camera, and this was no exception. Seeing the sun set over the water with Lauren and Jeff was the perfect way to end this Oahu anniversary session.

As a Hawaii photographer, I think it’s always a good time for a photo shoot on the island. You don’t need to get engaged or get married to get dressed up and take some fun photos to celebrate or remember an occasion. This fun anniversary session is proof that you can take photos at any point in your relationship to commemorate your time together in a way that is personal and meaningful to you. Plus, you might as well take advantage of the insane natural beauty of Hawaii by capturing it in some sweet pictures that will last a lifetime.
