Waimea Valley is situated on Oahu’s North Shore, a place that is world-renowned for its natural beauty. There are several different areas within Waimea Valley that are perfect for wedding ceremonies, from beautiful covered seating areas to large expanses of open lawn surrounded by tropical forest. Surprisingly, you can even rent out the waterfall area to turn your ceremony into a private experience with nature.
The upper meadow is a perfect spot for an outdoor wedding with a decent number of guests because a good amount of seating is available. In addition, green tropical leaves form a perfect backdrop for pictures of the ceremony. Also, the bright pops of pink and coral petals down the center aisle were a gorgeous touch done by Andie and Ryan at this Waimea Valley wedding.
As any wedding photographer in Oahu can attest, there is no lack of stunning wedding venues on the island. But Waimea Valley has some pretty incredible and unique photo opportunities. From the open field at Palm Meadow to tropical forests with ancient trees, there are so many options to beautifully showcase the awe and wonder of nature in the area.
Andie and Ryan also took a moment on their special day to celebrate the importance of Korean culture in their lives and family by doing a Korean Paeback ceremony after their wedding ceremony. This was a unique opportunity to celebrate sacred traditions on their wedding day, as well as acknowledge the beauty of cultures coming together.
After that, the Pikake Pavilion was a perfect place to end the night. The reception followed by the dance couldn’t have been more perfect.
