Weddings at the Ritz-Carlton O’ahu, Turtle Bay
Here’s a behind-the-lens look at two beautiful weddings I’ve photographed at the Ritz-Carlton O’ahu, Turtle Bay:
Kiana and Blake’s Elegant, Spring Wedding at Ritz-Carlton O’ahu, Turtle Bay
Kiana and Blake planned a stunning wedding at the Ritz-Carlton O’ahu, Turtle Bay in the spring. They had their wedding at The Stables and said “I do” at Kullima Point.
K + B’s love story
“I was born and raised in Ewa Beach, but moved to California for college and ended up staying in San Diego once I graduated. Blake and I met a few months before college started. He saw me on our university’s committed student Instagram page and sent me a message. We talked all summer long and made it official when we got to campus! We’ve been together for 6 years and are now living in San Diego together, where Blake is from. Our wedding will be back home on Oahu, where all of my family is.” – Kiana
Notable moments from Kiana and Blake’s wedding
Their day started with sunshine until the wind and the clouds decided to show up. There was also some scattered rain during their cocktail hour, but the couple was not really phased by it at all. To accommodate the rain, we just had to move a few things around on their timeline.
Kiana and Blake’s wedding was a great reminder that even if it rains on your wedding day, just embrace the day for what it is and remember that you’re finally getting married to the love of your life! Rain can’t erase the excitement and joy of this exciting new chapter.
Kiana and Blake’s wedding party included their siblings, their siblings’ partners, and their best friends. Some beautiful moments to witness were when everyone was teary-eyed and emotional at their ceremony and during their first dance at their reception.
You could truly feel the outpouring of love from their wedding guests and the love Kiana and Blake have for each other. Throughout their day, there were so many smiles shared, lots of laughter, and plenty of hugs wherever these two went.
Kiana also had such a cute outfit change into her reception dress, which gave ‘going to the chapel to get married’ vibes. There were so many special moments from this day, and I’m honored I was a part of it!

Monique And Sou’s Dreamy Fall Wedding At The Ritz-Carlton O’ahu, Turtle Bay
Monique and Sou also got married at The Stables, and their day was all about harmoniously bringing together both of their different backgrounds and heritages.
M + S’s love story
“Sou and I are college sweethearts. We met at university and have been together for 7 years (were friends for one year prior). We both value our honesty towards one another and how giving we both are (whether that be our time spent being teachers to our students or lending a hand to our loved ones when they need us the most). Our wedding vision is to bring together our two different cultures (Japanese and Mexican families). We want to share this exciting day with our loved ones at our beautiful beach destination wedding.” – Monique
Notable moments from Monique and Sou’s wedding
Monique and Sou beautifully blended their unique backgrounds and families to have a spectacular day. Their day included cowboy hats, boots, sand, horses, and even a kimono or two, all of which perfectly represented and celebrated them!
Monique and Sou each have special relationships with their family and friends who doted on them each moment of the day. One of my favorite moments from this wedding was when they gave speeches in Japanese and Spanish, then in English, and everyone still laughed and cried at the right moments despite the language barrier.
This couple was a bit quieter or reserved with their affection or personalities. However, that’s why they made such a great team. Quiet comfort, support, and love were there without having to be loudly declared.
