Kauai Destination Wedding | Hanalei, HI

Kauai weddings are always a blast and this one in particular was no exception. Noell and Jake’s classy Kauai destination wedding combined an elevated classic style with the island sun and tropical vibe of Kauai—literal perfection.

Since The Wai’Oli Hui’ia Church in Hanalei on Kauai doesn’t usually host weddings, this classy Kauai destination wedding was a special occurrence. This rare occasion was a beautiful chance to commemorate Noell and Jake’s relationship. And it is always a special day when a couple decides to make it official with a commitment of love. The spacious sanctuary boasted a stunning large arched window which let in lots of natural light. This gave everything a bright and airy feeling throughout the ceremony.

The outdoor tented reception took place on a massive expanse of lush lawn and it was the perfect way to celebrate after the ceremony. Everything to the last detail was integrated beautifully into the night. From the lawn games, refreshments and cute appetizers, to the mini jars of honey for each of the guests, every last detail was accounted for. The chairs and matching hanging light fixtures were a stunning touch as well. And best of all—the reception felt private, like we had a corner of the island just to ourselves.

The dance floor was spacious and popular all evening, and it was fun to feel immersed in the island outside while still being underneath the tent. To end the evening, everyone took their spots on the dance floor and boogied the night away. This made for the perfect time to take some action shots.

The reception area had several stunning photograph opportunities as well with the picturesque tropical landscapes of Kauai in the background. As a wedding photographer in Hawaii, I love capturing the rich tropical landscapes of the island as well as the love between its people. And this classy Kauai destination wedding was a beautiful opportunity to do both!
