When Julianne first reached out to me about her and Brayden’s destination wedding, it was originally going to be at a church. Later on, they updated me that they changed their venue to Cafe Julia at the YWCA in downtown Honolulu, and I was thrilled! Cafe Julia is such a great Honolulu wedding venue for several reasons!
Although this venue is located in town, it’s architecture just pulls you into an intimate setting which is the absolute best for weddings. Especially since this was the first time a lot of the bride and groom’s family and friends are meeting, what better place than an intimate venue to bring their closest loved ones together!
Another reason Cafe Julia is a desirable wedding venue is it’s prime location next to Iolani Palace which you’ll see photos of in this post
Last but certainly not least, the details like chairs and lights may seem pale in comparison to the fabulous architecture. However the chairs and the cafe string lights bring such a romantic mood for the reception! It’s amazing how chairs and lights can transform a space; scroll through this post to see how the ceremony gets transformed into a beautiful reception space!
